'Man, it's really pouring tonight…'

You continued to trudge down the sidewalk, people scurrying towards the opposite direction from where you're heading. You shivered a bit from the bites of cold air, but you didn't mind. In all truth, you enjoyed thunderstorms, especially when there's a couple lightning bolts. Those sorts of storms made you happy for some reason. Since you live in England, they were common, and you didn't want to leave. The only thing you would never leave your house without, though, was your umbrella.

Soon enough, the sidewalk cleared and you were the only one left. You smiled to yourself, contently. Being alone while walking down the sidewalk helped you clear your mind, without the worry of running into someone along the way. But, your happy moment ended when you saw a lone man sitting on a bench looking down at his feet. He wasn't even holding an umbrella or anything! "Hey," you called. "It's getting pretty bad out here! Why are you standing outside without your umbrella?"

The rain must have been pouring pretty hard if he wasn't able to hear you, considering the fact that he didn't even turn towards you. You grunted and walked closer towards him, clutching your umbrella so it wouldn't blow away. You trudged towards him, the rain pelting your face like bullets, and continued to call out to him. "Excuse me, sir! What are you doing out here on such a rainy day?"

At this, he finally did pick his head up, but you could barely examine his face because of his hair sticking to it. You frowned as he lowered his head again, his shoulders beginning to tremble when he did. Once you made it to him, you bent down so you were face-to-face with him, holding the umbrella so both of you would be under the safety of your umbrella. "Hey, what's wrong?" You asked quietly, hoping he'd look at you again. "It's late and it's getting pretty nasty out. Don't you have anywhere to go?"

Slowly, the man picked his head up so you could look at his face. The first thing you had noticed was freckles. There were freckles lining his cheeks and going over his nose. His bushy eyebrows were furrowed in sorrow, which broke your heart. This man looked so lonely out in the rain! "Why are you talking to me? Aren't you scared?"

You blinked, clearly confused. How could you be scared of a lonely man on the bench during a lightning storm? That's what made you more confused than you should've been. "I don't understand…Should I be scared?"

He didn't move at all, as he was taken aback by what you said. "I'm a freak…Nobody has hair like mine, nor do they have freckles all over their body like me…And have you ever seen someone with crazy eye colors? No, I didn't think so…Why are you even bothering with me…"

You stared at him for a moment as shock traveled through your body. Just by a glance he wasn't scary, and freckles aren't something to be ashamed about at all! You frowned a bit, wondering about his eyes, and tilted his head up with your finger so he was staring at you through his wet hair. Gently, yet quickly, you swept the hair from his eyes, revealing a pair of bright blue eyes, tinted with pink. You blinked, taken aback by what you saw, and stared into his eyes. They were unnatural, but they were so fascinating. Though, you could see that he had been crying for a while, due to the fact that his eyes were a tad red from irritation and there were tears rolling down his cheeks.

He frowned, noticing your silence, and stood up abruptly, which pushed your umbrella up a bit from both yours and his heads. "I told you I was a freak, and you think so, too. I'm sorry to have wasted your time, love." After finishing his sentence, he walked the opposite direction of you.

You watched him leave, a frown on your lips. He looked familiar, but you didn't know why he did. You stood up and ran after him. "Hey, wait! Can I know your name?" He stopped, turning around to look at you with a confused expression. You offered him a small smile. "It's just so I can tell my friends about this really interesting guy that I saw in the park."

He blinked, and he became flustered, acting as if he was going to cry at any moment. "M-My name is Oliver…" Without another word, he ran off in the opposite direction of you.

You smiled again, repeating his name out loud. "Oliver, huh? I really like that name. I've always wanted to name my kids that someday…"

You continued to walk down the street until you came across a newspaper on the ground. You blinked and bent down to pick it up, wondering why someone just threw a newspaper on the ground during a rainstorm. After taking one look at the headline and picture, you shrieked and stepped back from the newspaper as if it had just come to life.

Girl suffers from severe brain damage due to a car crash. Boyfriend escapes the crash with only a couple bruises and a sprained pinkie.

Oliver sat on his couch, his hands tangled in his hair as tears ran down his cheeks quickly. He choked on his tears, unable to control them. Seeing you had made his day go from bad to worse. "Why did she have to show up on this day? I don't even know why I try anymore…She'll never remember me…"
The poor world we live in.

I have many feels for this guy, I'm not even joking.
This poor soul.
I love him so much I don't know why.

Anyways, I hope you liked that.
It really was just like...
Something random I did.

Yeah, I used his second name because I really like that name. I think it's adorable. ;u;
