------------I will try everything,
To make you come closer to me
How can I get it through,
To tell you what I can't lose...
Lovino sighed and glanced out the window. English was a boring class, especially since everyone hated to even talk to him. The classroom door opened and everyone's attention turned towards the door, even Lovino's. He went wide eyed at the sight of the person who just entered the half-filled classroom.
"Um, Mrs. Frison? This is your new student, [Name] [Surname]. She'll be in your first period class from now on." The student-teacher patted the girl's back and left the room. The girl was beautiful, in Lovino's eyes. Her [h/c] hair was pulled up into a ponytail, her bangs fell just beside her face. She didn't wear make-up, like all the other girls at the school. The dark and light blue striped shirt that hung just below her shoulders was cute and made her figure look facinating.
All eyes on you. It was always like this whenever you were a new kid, and you didn't like it. Mrs. Frison motioned for you to come forward and in front of the class. Gulping quietly, you walked to the front slowly, trying not to drag your feet along. She smiled disarmingly at you and you gave her a smile back.
"Okay, [Name]. Our class is pretty filled except for a couple spots over there." She pointed to the spot where the boy sitting next to the window was sitting. You forced yourself not to go wide eyed at the boy. He was just so handsome! His auburn hair covered just his right eyebrow, a strange curl sticking out on the left side of his head. He was looking straight at you, making you blush slightly. You nodded and looked at the seating chart she was holding for you to take a look at. A spot behind, in front of, or right next to that boy. You pointed to the spot next to him and Mrs. Frison nodded, marking your name down on the paper. "You can ask him for help if you need any. I'm sure that he doesn't bite and he won't be rude at all, right Lovino?" There was chuckling and stiffled laughs from the whole class.
Lovino's heart dropped. Everyone was laughing at how he cusses at everyone, knowing he would be rude right off the spot. He gave everyone a nasty look before turning his attention out the window again. 'Stupid Americans..They judge everyone too quickly, don't they?' He thought.
You gave Lovino a worrying glance, seeming as everyone seemed to hate him. You tightened your grip on your messenger bag and took off to your new seat. After sitting down, you pulled out your binder labeled, 'English'. You smiled at the pictures on the front. You and your friend, Lili Zwingli, were all you had pictures of. She was your long time friend from Liechtenstien, the only person who didn't think you were a freak for being a lover for art. Smiling at the photos inserted in the binder's cover, you pulled out your schedule, time schedule, and pencil case from your messenger bag. You felt a pair of eyes on you, but you thought nothing of the sort. You checked the clock that was located at the back of the room and back at your schedule. Five more minutes of class left. You gulped and turned your head slightly towards the boy next to you. Gaining courage, you tapped Lovino's shoulder.
Lovino blinked before noticing what was happening. [Name] was going to talk to him. He started sweating until he gained posture again. Inhaling and exhaling, he turned to her and forced a smile.
You smiled back at him and looked at your schedule again.
"Um, do you know where the Arena is? I have Gym class next, so I was wondering if you'd be able to help me find where it is.." Lovino blinked again before shaking his head and nodding.
"Of course I'd be able to help you. I have that class next, so I'll help you talk to Mr. Z also." He held a hand out to you and your small smile widened, being able to actually meet this boy everyone seemed to hate. "My name's Lovino, as you already heard. What's yours?" You took his hand and shook it lightly.
"My name is [Name]! It's nice to meet you, Lovino!" He blushed a little and chuckled. The bell rang and you let go of his hand to stuff your belongings into your messenger bag. People were coming towards you and Lovino rather quickly and someone 'accidentally' pushed your binder off your desk. Your photos you had with Lili fell out faster than the reguler, lined pieces of paper supplied into the binder. Nobody else was coming so you quickly grabbed it and started to shove everything into the binder. You went wide eyed in sorrow as you saw that your favorite picture was torn straight down the middle of you and Lili. "M..My picture.."
Lovino went wide eyed at you, seeing as you were about to cry. He mustered up all his feelings into one ball, knowing to teach the kid a lesson after school. He got up and helped your pick your things up off the floor, grabbing your messenger bag for you.
"Hey, [Name]. It's alright, that stuff happens all the time. Trust me, I'll teach him a lesson for picking on such a nice person like you." You looked up at him, tears brimming your eyes. You wriped them away quickly and forced a smile to the boy.
"Yeah..You're right. I-I can just fix it with tape!" You smiled sadly and organized your binder, soon shoving it in your bag. You took the bag from Lovino and made your way to the Arena for Gym.
You looked around the Science room after school, looking for Lovino. He walked up to you and smiled.
"Do you ride a bus or walk home?" You thought about it for a minute and smiled.
"I walk home since my house is by Wal-Mart and that's pretty close to here." He grinned and took you down the stairs out the back doors to the High School.
"I walk this cheat way home, it's so fast to get home. I live across the street to Wal-Mart, also." You smiled and nodded, starting a conversation with Lovino on the way home.
After about twenty minutes of walking, you found your way at a cross-walk. There were four directions and you told Lovino you go left. He pointed North for himself and you laughed.
"Then, I guess I'll see you tomorrow or something." You waved goodbye as your crossed the street diagonally. Lovino smiled to himself slightly.
"Tomorrow.." He blinked when he realized something. The boy who knocked your binder down in class was none other than Gilbert Beilschmidt. He always does that to people he likes. Lovino stomped a foot and changed directions to that of Gilbert's, going to beat him up for doing such a thing.
You walked into English class the next morning to find that Lovino was the only person in class. He looked like he had a broken left arm and a broken pinky, along with bandages around his forehead. You gained a look of worry and ran over to the boy. Once you sat down, you saw Lovino stiffen. The first thing you noticed on his face was a bandaid over his nose and a cut on his lower lip. Your expression turned to terrified, wanting to know who and what hurt the nicest boy you've met in all your life.
Lovino sighed as he heard [Name] sit in her seat beside him. He wasn't the best man to talk things over. He was the man that likes to solve things with violence, though he knows that he would lose somehow. Leaning his head on the table, he remembered how everything happened the day before.
-----"Hey, ass-face!" Lovino threw a pinecone at the Prussian's head. The man turned around, rubbing the back of his head.
"What was that for, Lovi?!" Lovino's face showed many hints of anger and frustration, Gilbert not noticing obviously.
"What you did to [Name] today. That was so uncalled for!" Gilbert thought for a minute before gaining a goofy grin.
"What? You know that's how I flirt with hot girls." Gilbert's grin turned into a smirk at the Italian's growing anger.
"Actually, I think that's how you be an ass to anyone you see."
"Oh~ Protecting the girl now I see?" Lovino clenched his fists and got Gilbert right in the jaw. Gilbert spit on the ground, his smirk widening. "And now you want to fight? You know you can't fight to save your life." Lovino kept his menacing glare towards the Prussian, knowing he was right. All Lovino knew for sure was that Gilbert was going to pay for being rude to [Name] all day. Lovino grabbed Gilbert by the collar and stared right into the man's deep, crimson red eyes, giving him a glare nobody's seen before with his dark brown ones.
"You're a dickhead that couldn't think with anything but his dick even if it saved his life. I don't understand how ANYONE deals with your drunk-ass at all." Lovino's voice was serious and sort of evil, sending chills up Gilbert's spine.
"Damn man, all this for a girl you've just met today?" Gilbert smirked as Lovino gripped his collar tighter.
"It's not just any girl. She's the nicest one I've known compared to all of the whores you've stuck your small dick in." Gilbert's smirk turned into a frown and he snapped.
"Alright, if that's the way it's going to be, then let it be that way." And the fight took off from there, starting with Gilbert's punch to Lovino's stomach.
Lovino grunted and rubbed his stomach as he remembered the tough punch Gilbert threw at it the day before. He picked his head up and looked over to you, who was sorting out your permission slips and notebooks, looking for notes for today's assignments. He smiled at you. 'I want to show her I love her somehow..What's the best Italian way to show a girl his love..' Lovino stared at you while thinking over possible ways to show his affection to you. An idea popped up and he immediately shuffled through his backpack for a notebook and pencil. 'I could write her a song and sing it for her in front of her window!' Lovino's thoughts shot off into a frolic of writing as he wrote down his tunes and lyrics to the song he wants to sing to you with his only available hand.
You sighed and gave your papers a frustrated look. 'I don't think I have yesterday's notes in any of these notebooks. I think they're in my room under my pillow.' You sighed and started organizing your binder again, trying to put everything back in order. You turned your head slightly to see if Lovino was ready to talk, but he seemed to be writing something very intently. You smiled to yourself at the sight of his determined expression. 'He's so cute when he wants to try hard on something..' You tapped him on the shoulder and his head picked up quickly.
"Yeah?" You smiled sadly and pointed to his paper and he blushed brightly, chuckling a little. "U-um..Well, you see..I'm writing a song for this girl I like..Do you know a synonom for all-year round?" You thought about it for a minute before smiling.
"365 days!" He brought a bright smile onto his face and jotted it down.
At lunch, you sat down at an empty table. You didn't feel hungry today at all for some reason. Sighing, you pulled out your World History binder and stared at the map in the binder's cover. Mr. Amende made you work your butt off on your second day already, making you write down every single European country and its capital. You got most of them, the others you had a hard time finding in your book. Lovino sat next to you, pulling his backpack off his shoulder. He sighed heavily and leaned his head on the table.
"[Name], I don't feel hungry today.." You giggled and nodded, waving a hand to him.
"I don't either, don't worry." You both smiled at each other until there was a loud yell from the hallway connected to the cafeteria.
"LOOOVINOOO!!!" Turning your head to the source, you saw Antonio charging to Lovino, Gilbert and Francis following behind slowly. Lovino gave Antonio a horrified look just before he was glomped by the energetic Spaniard. "Lovino, did you seriously get in a fight with Gilbert?!" You blinked before gasping and covering your mouth, a horrified expression wiping over your face. Lovino looked at you and went wide eyed before shoving Antonio off with his right arm. Antonio sat in the seat next to Lovino, his worried expression showing brightly on his face.
"I...I did...But it was for a good cause.." He stole a glance at you before turning his head the other way, angrily shoving his head on the table. Antonio shook Lovino's arm quickly.
"Lovino, you're not supposed to fight!! It's not good for you!" Lovino grunted before turning his head to the Spaniard again.
"I can do whatever the fuck I want, stupid Spaniard! You can't always control my life!" He gave him a scary glare before hearing a seat clatter from across the table. He picked his head up to see you trying your best to quickly shove your things in your bag. His angry expression turned to terrified in an instant. "[Name], what's wrong?"
"L-Lovino, I gotta get to class soon..I gotta ask the teacher about the homework.." You wiped your eyes quickly before running down the hallway in a rush. 'I can't believe Lovino got in a fight with Gilbert..I know he was rude, but I didn't think Lovino would get in a fight with him over it..' You turned left, though your classroom was right of the hallway, and ran up the stairs. "I-I can't believe Lovino cussed like that..And he was so angry about the subject.." You phone vibrated in your pocket and you checked it quickly.Lovino [October 17, 2011 12:15 PM]: Hey, did I say something wrong?
You quickly shut your phone and shoved it back in your pocket before running down another set of stairs, finding your way to a corner and sliding down it. You felt tears coming and you let them come.
"Lovino..You're such a nice boy..Why did you do such a thing..?"
Lovino walked up and down the flight of stairs he came upon, looking for [Name].
"God dammit, where could she be?!" Lovino sighed in frustration before leaning against a wall. "She ran off because she heard I got in a fight with Gilbert.." He knew she wasn't the type of girl to be into fighting at all. He covered his eyes with the back of his arm in anger. "I'll just talk to her after school.." He started to hum the song he was writing for the girl he was deeply in love with, no matter what she thought about him.
Once the bell rang, you immediately ran out the classroom door and down the stairs that Lovino took you down the day before. You wanted to do your best not to talk to him, due to the fact he originally got in a fight with a jerk. Running out the back doors, you slowed your running into a walk once you were passed the parking lot. You sighed in sadness and ran a hand through your hair.
"Why does everything I do have to be confusing..?" You heard a faint, '[Name]!' from behind you, but you didn't want to hear it. You immediately put your headphones in your ears and turned your MP3 on loud.
Lovino ran his way up to [Name] once he noticed she wasn't in the class anymore. 'She must be really angry..' He ran up to her and stopped right in front of her, panting heavily.
"Thank goodness..[Name], are you-" He picked his head up to see that she had a tear falling down he cheek, a fearful expression plastered on her features. He stood up straight and held out a hand until she smacked it away.
"Lovino..I can't believe you didn't tell me!" You screamed loud enough for him to know you were being serious. Lovino gave you a shocked expression. "You could've told me you got in a fight with him..Especially why you got in the fight, anyways!!" Lovino kept his shocked expression as you shoved your way passed him, not wanting to deal with this anymore. 'I didn't think you were that kind of man, Lovino..'
Lovino sat there, dumbfounded as he just saw his life flash before him. [Name] just yelled at him for getting into a fight and left in a heartbeat. He felt his legs growing weak and he fell to the ground on his knees, not feeling any motivation to get up. Clouds began to gather rather quickly and Lovino just sat there, waiting for the rain to come. He punched the ground in anger, not wanting to care about the pain. [Name] had most likely walked out of his life forever.
And he didn't want to accept it.
You sat on the edge of your bed, thinking about calling Lovino to apologize. You threw your phone across the bed and sighed.
"If I wanted him to say he was sorry, I'd wait for him to call me.." You fell backwards on your bed, grabbing your favorite plushie and holding it close to you. "Stupid Lovino..Right when I thought I was gaining a crush on you.." You felt tears forming in your eyes. "The first crush in my life.." A tear fell down your cheek. "The only one I thought I would need...." You shut your eyes gently and slowly as more tears escaped your eyes. Of course, your parents were out for the evening and weren't coming back until tomorrow night, so you were home alone. A few minutes later, you heard the faint sound of music coming from outside. You picked your head up and looked out your window. Seeing nothing, you walked back over to your bed. The sound kept coming through your window and you sighed. You opened the window and put half of your body out in the drenching rain, wanting to know who was bothering your neighborhood.
"Monday, well baby I fell for you. Tuesday, I wrote you this song.." You recognized the voice immediately and your confused expression turned into a sad one as you were about to leave the window. The voice sang louder, as if he didn't want you to leave. "Seven days of the week, every hour of the month. Gotta let you know where my heart is comin' from." You stuck your body our the window again, tears still free-falling down your cheeks. You looked down and saw Lovino, smiling sadly up at you and playing the guitar while singing. You covered your mouth as he stepped back for you to get a clearer view of him. "I will try everything to make you grow closer to me." More tears left your eyes and you could see Lovino tear up a little. "Maybe make you believe that I will behave. How can I get it through to tell you what I can't lose." You ran away from your window, down the stairs and out the door to Lovino in a rush, not caring about grabbing your shoes or a jacket. Just your tanktop and pants. You tackled him to the ground, crying into the crook of his neck. He smiled softly and stroked your hair, wanting you to calm down. "I'm sorry, [Name]."
Those words made you break down immediately and cry more. You felt sorry for being so rude to him, for ignoring him for fighting with someone.
"I..I'm...so..so sorry..L..Lovino..!!" You said in between sobs. He chuckled and shook his head.
"It's alright, [Name]. It's my fault for being over-protective." You got off of him and held out a hand for him to take, tears still falling down your cheeks. He took it gladly and pulled you into a tight hug. You hugged him back. You didn't want to leave this position at all. You two sat there in the pouring rain and silence of the deep hug you were embraced in.
You took Lovino inside and went off to the bathroom to grab him a towel. You two were soaking wet and you didn't want there to be wet spots on the rug before your parents came home. Coming back with a towel, you saw Lovino taking the guitar strap off his shoulder rather badly. You smiled softly and set the towels on the counter next to the door, helping him take it off.
"Ah, thank you, [Name]." You smiled and set it next to the door. You handed him a towel for him to dry off. He took it, smiling, and started to dry you off instead. You blushed a bright shade of pink.
"W..What're you doing, Lovino?"
"Lovi. Call me Lovi from now on. Okay, bella?" You shivered a little and nodded, not having any words to reply with. He leaned next to your ear and whispered, sending chills down your spine. "Ti amo, bella [Name]..." You blushed brightly and blinked at the Italian man in front of you. He looked into your [e/c] eyes and pulled you into a passionate kiss. You blinked before kissing him back, wrapping your arms around his wet neck, his unbroken arm finding its way around your soaking waist. The towel fell off the top of your hair as Lovino pulled back, moving his arm to your hair. "I will try 365 days, 365 ways to get to you.." You both smiled at each other before going into another blissful kiss.
~*~*~*...I will try 365 days,
365 ways to get to you.
