3 Days of Birthdays -- Day 2

Sarah was walking in the park; book in hand, searching for a possibly nice spot to sit. It was a fairly warm day, but she decided to keep her trench coat on just in case it started raining again or something. Post Falls was very unpredictable, you see. Anyways, she settled herself under a lone tree in the park, smiling to herself as she was the only one in the park. Well, it was nearing five o'clock, but that doesn't matter.

"Alright, gettin' some Hunger Games down in he-."

"GO, PUMA!!"

Sarah picked her head up only to see a dark figure jump out of the tree, plummeting to the ground towards her. She let out a loud scream and ran out from under the tree, trying not to get hit by the flying object. The figure landed on the ground and stayed in the shadows, crawling towards the girl slowly.

Sarah stared at the figure in fear, not knowing what it was. "W-What the hell!?"

The figure became clearer and leaped at her arm, latching onto it tightly. Sarah let out a loud scream of pain and went to slap the thing biting her arm, but stopped half-way when she noticed what it was. She frowned and pulled the hood off of the thing, revealing a mop of short, dark brown hair. "Zoe, why the hell are you biting my arm!?"

Zoe didn't speak, just continued biting her arm, and a voice came out from the bushes, laughing rather hard. Sarah picked her head up only to see a boy with silver-blonde hair coming towards the two girls. He pointed at Sarah, unable to speak his feelings. Sarah glared at him, now trying to get Zoe off of her arm. "Gilbert, you jerk! Why are you laughing about this!?"

He tried to calm down, holding his stomach with one arm, still pointing at Sarah. "I-I had this idea since forever, a-and nobody else would be c-crazy enough to do it b-but Zoe!" His laughter wouldn't calm down, and he was even starting to get tears in his eyes. "I-I can't believe the look on y-your face when she jumped o-out of the tree!"

"Why is this so funny to you!? It hurts, you know!!"

"It's because of the f-face you made!!"

Sarah was now fuming, and she pried Zoe off of her arm, only to have her bite her arm again. Once she let go, Sarah was holding onto her arm tightly, wincing in pain. "Z-Zoe, your teeth hurt!!"

Coughing into her fist, Zoe looked up with a bright smile and basically shouted out, "On the second day of birthdays, my bestest friend gave to me: two bites on the arm and one kick in the shin!"

"Oh god, don't you da-OW OH MY FUCKING GOD!!" Sarah keeled over in pain, trying to hold her arm and knee at the same time. Zoe giggled and stood up, rubbing her knees from any dust that might have collected. She pulled a small box from her puma suit, placing it on the ground beside Sarah.

"I hope you have a nice night, dear~!"

"Sarah, why are you back so late? And why do you look like you just got beaten up?" Alfred ran up to his girlfriend, examining every visible part of her body that he could.

Sarah was shaking, a terrified look in her eyes. "Z-Zoe…S-She came out of the tree like…A-A puma…"

Alfred gave her a confused look. "And what? What'd she do to you? Because we all know I can go beat the crap out of her Italian wimp of a boyfriend since she hurt you, babe."

Sarah turned her head up to him and shook her head. "S-She…"

"She what?"

"She has hard teeth…"
